Hi! I'm Alyssa Ragni, born and raised in sunny Florida. I graduated Ringling College of Art and Design in 2020 and have a B.F.A. in Computer Animation. In my free time I love to draw, watch movies and play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends.
As an animator, my purpose is to leave my audience with a positive, entertaining experience. I am fond of cute, expressive characters and enjoy bringing them to life with smooth movements and strong poses. I strive to create unique designs that are also appealing. Every character has their own mood and aesthetic and I try to think about that when deciding how they would act in the animation.
I have a foundation in traditional animation, although now I animate digitally using Maya. I bring hand drawn animation principals into my work and am inspired by artists who bring the worlds of 2D and Computer Animation together. It’s amusing to capture the cartoony and exaggerated side of animation with 3D characters. Also, I find it important to be versatile and tackle subtle acting moments in addition to larger gestures.
Animation can have a strong effect on people, especially children. That is why I want to tell positive and inclusive stories. Sharing different cultures and experiences helps build understanding and appreciation between a multitude of people. With my stories, I hope to inspire people to love themselves and others.
